Borneo is the world’s third largest island. While it is only 1% of the world’s land mass, it contains 6% of the world’s biodiversity (incredible isn’t it?). Yet this diversity is under threat – Borneo has already lost over half its forests, and a third of these disappeared in just the last three decades. WWF, the World Wildlife Fund for Nature has committed itself to helping protect it. A photo story microsite was just one of the pieces they developed to build awareness and drive policy makers and the public to take notice.
